What is Sadhan's role in processing user transactions

As a sales channel of our Demat partners, we acquire users to open Demat and trading accounts with our Demat partners; execute trading transactions through our system platforms and maintains portfolio reports of our users.

How do I open a new Demat

As of now, you may open a new Demat only with our Demat partners, ICICI Direct. Please follow these steps:

1. Follow this link https://secure.icicidirect.com/accountopening?rmcode=SADH1497 and complete your paperwork at ICICI Direct portal. 

2. If all the valid documents are submitted, the Demat and trading account opening may take upto 72 hours.

3. You may check the status of your account opening at ICICI Direct portal.

4. You may also send us a whats app text @ +917400174893 or write an email to us @ support@sadhanwealth.com. We will check the status and update you.

Do I need to login to my Demat to be able to trade on Sadhan

Yes, your ICICI Direct Demat session must be on for you  to trade using the app. Once logged in, the session is on for 24 hours. You may trade on the app using standard Buy/Sell screens. In case you need to login to Demat, you will receive a message with the login link. Please login using your ICICI Direct credentials and continue using Sadhan.

What type of transactions can I perform using the app

At present, you may perform these transactions: Search for stocks and view their market prices, trade in stocks in Cash or Delivery segment

What type of transactions I wont be able to perform using the app

As of now, we do not offer any other products for trading in stocks such as margin trading, Buy Today Sell Tomorrow etc. through our app. We also do not offer equity related derivatives on our app.

Do you provide any advice on stock trading

We do not offer any advice on stock trading. We bring you the analysis on select stocks and themes by the experts. Such analysis is from the authorized sources available in public domain. We also present some of the research analysis by our Demat partners.

What type of transactions do your Demat partners offer

You may access the full suite of stock products such as IPO, Futures and options by directly logging into the portal of our Demat partner ICICI Direct

Can I access the Demat partner's platform directly?

Yes, you may login to the portal of our Demat partner ICICI Direct by entering their security credentials and access their products.

What if I face problems while using the Demat partners platform directly

You may please access the following support channels:

What is stock of a company and how does investment in stocks work

Stock represents a portion of the ownership stake in a company. When you invest in the stock of a company it means you own a share in the company that issued the stock. Stocks investment is a way to invest in companies i e their businesses.

What are some of the basic stock market terms

Sensex: A compilation of the top 30 stocks listed on the BSE, ranked by market capitalization.

Nifty50: A selection of the top 50 companies on the National Stock Exchange.

BSE: The Bombay Stock Exchange, India's largest securities exchange.

NSE: The National Stock Exchange, known for electronic trading.

Types of Stock Market: Primary and Secondary markets for securities.

SEBI: The Securities and Exchange Board of India, a regulator overseeing stock market activities.

Demat: An electronic portfolio holding an individual's shares and securities.

Trading: The process of buying or selling company shares.

What are the different stock price terms

Opening Price: The opening price is the first price at which a stock trades when the stock market opens for the trading day. It is crucial because it sets the initial value of the stock for the day.
Previous Close: The previous close is the price at which the stock ended the previous trading session. It serves as a reference point for investors, showing how the stock performed compared to the previous day.
Intraday High: The intraday high represents the highest price at which a stock has traded during the current trading session. It reflects the peak value reached by the stock on that specific day.
Intraday Low: The intraday low is the lowest price at which a stock has traded during the current trading session. It shows the lowest point the stock reached during the day.
Lifetime High: The lifetime high, also known as an all-time high, is the highest price ever recorded for a particular stock since its inception or the data's available history. It's a significant milestone and often indicates strong historical performance.
Lifetime Low: The lifetime low, or all-time low, is the lowest price ever recorded for a stock since it began trading or within the historical data. It signifies the worst performance point in a stock's history.
52-Week High: The 52-week high represents the highest price a stock has reached within the past 52 weeks (one year). It helps investors gauge the stock's recent performance and potential trends.
52-Week Low: The 52-week low is the lowest price a stock has reached within the past 52 weeks (one year). It is another indicator of recent performance and can help investors identify potential buying opportunities.

What are the different types of orders

Different types of orders offered by Sadhan app are as follows:

1. Limit Order - Traders define a specific price at which they wish to buy or sell. Ideal for controlling trade prices.

2. Market Order - An order executed at the prevailing market price. These orders are swiftly executed, however the trader has no control over the exact price.

3. VTC (Valid Till Cancellation) Order - An order placed by the trader which remains valid for the period that he defines while placing the order.

How do I search for a specific stock

You may search for a stock using the following method:

1. Type the stock name in the search text box.

2. As you type first few letters of the name of the stock, all stocks with similar names will appear.

 3. You may go through the list and click the stock you are looking for, to know more about or trade in it.

How do I buy a stock

You may buy a stock using the following steps:

1. Tap on 'Buy' or 'Search' shortcut on Stocks home screen. Then the Search screen will open.

How do I buy a stock without using the app

You may login to the portal of our Demat partner and complete your Buy transaction on the portal.

How do I pay for my Buy order

You have to fund the bank account linked to your Demat and Trading accounts. Payments for your Buy orders are settled via debit to this bank account through automted processes at our Demat partners. We do not handle settlement of funds.

How do I Sell a stock

You may buy a stock using the following steps:

1. Tap on 'Buy' or 'Search' shortcut on Stocks home screen. Then the Search screen will open. 

2. In Search textbox, as you type first few letters of the name of the stock; all stocks with similar names will appear.

3. You may go through the list and click the stock you are looking for

4. In the bottom box, you click on Buy to buy the stock

How do I sell a stock without using the app

You may login to the portal of our Demat partner and complete your Sell transaction on the portal.

How do I receive proceeds from my Sell order

Proceeds from the sell transaction are credited to the bank account linked to your Demat and Trading accounts.

How do I modify/cancel my order

Method 1: On Stocks home screen, click on notification bell icon. Review all the pending orders. You may modify/ cancel your order by clicking on relevent icon in the order band.
Method 2: On Stocks home screen, click on Modify shortcut. Review all the pending orders. You may modify/ cancel your order by clicking on relevent icon in the order band.

How do I see my transaction history

1. On Stocks home screen, click on notification bell icon.

2. History of all your Buy/Sell orders and funding transactions appears

3. You may scroll through and view details

How do I access real time view of my portfolio

1. You may open the portfolio view by clicking on a shortcut on Stocks home screen.

2. Portfolio view will provide real time value and profit/loss on your total holding as well as individual stock holding

3. You may click on 'Buy' or 'Sell' for a Buy/ Sell transaction in the stock

Do I get to see current P/L position of individual holdings in my portfolio

Yes, in portfolio you may view each stock in your holding and real time profit/ loss for that stock
